ISF Awarded Two Contracts by the Jacksonville Electric Authority
Located in downtown Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) provides electric service to more than one million people in nearly all of Duval County and portions of St. Johns and Clay counties. JEA provides water and sewer services to families and businesses in much of Duval County and portions of Nassau, St. Johns, and Clay counties. Using a fixed-price approach, ISF has won two initial contracts with JEA. The first contract is to enhance the current electronic bill payments systems. These changes will result in a cost savings of thousands of dollars annually for JEA. The second contract is to assist JEA in a WebTrends reporting tool installation. With ISF’s assistance, JEA will begin using WebTrends four months ahead of schedule, based on current JEA personnel workload. JEA is an exciting new account for ISF to add to its portfolio of Jacksonville based accounts.
ISF Awarded Contract by DFS, Office of Insurance Regulation
ISF has been awarded a contract for services by the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS), Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR). OIR has primary responsibility for regulation, compliance, and enforcement of statutes related to the business of insurance and the monitoring of industry markets. To support their commitment to fair, fast, and professional decision making, expeditious processing, and proficient performance, OIR has contracted with ISF to web-enable company admission applications. This solution includes a fully functioning online application system and an interactive filing component.
ISF Completes Integrated Emergency Operation Management System for the Florida Department of Military Affairs
ISF has completed work on the Integrated Emergency Operation Management System (IEOMS) for the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) and is now in the support phase of its contract with the agency. IEOMS is a multi-faceted application that streamlines a number of formerly manual administrative tasks during State Active Duty of the Florida National Guard (FNG), thereby enabling DMA staff and FNG personnel to focus on providing aid to Florida 's citizens in times of crisis. The application has modules to address FNG service member payroll, daily attendance tracking, telecommunications services tracking, injury reporting, purchase request tracking, and funds estimating. Through the implementation of this system, DMA expects to free-up approximately 20 support staff during each state activation of the FNG. Released DMA staff will be reallocated to perform other necessary critical functions. This correlates to a cost savings of approximately $360,000 per activation in staffing alone. Had this system been in place for the 2004 hurricane season, during which the FNG was activated four times, the state of Florida would have saved over $1.4 million in administrative costs. Development and implementation of IEOMS cost just over half that. The system will also save state tax dollars through a reduction in overpayments to service members and vendors, as well as timely cancellation of telecommunications devices no longer in use.
