ISF developed strategic goals for academic libraries, current and future state documentation for technology and library automation throughout the State University System (SUS), full documentation of governance options and implementation considerations, an organizational model, functional requirements, acquisition strategy, technology strategy, development and implementation of a proposed operational budget, policy changes and updates, and a functional timeline. This satisfied the need for the development of a plan to create a single library services organization to replace the SUS Florida Center for Library Automation and the FCS College Center for Library Automation, to address the Florida Legislature’s directive to the Chancellors of the State University System (SUS) and the Florida College System (FCS).
