Tallahassee, FL —ISF CEO Cyndy Loomis was among six nominees for the 18th Annual Ethics in Business Award presented by the Rotary Clubs of Tallahassee, Wakulla, and Monticello. The awards luncheon was held on April 25, 2018 at the FSU Alumni Center on the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee.
Each year the Ethics in Business Award is presented in memory of Bill Dugger, a community service leader and real estate salesman who exemplified the highest standards of ethical business practice.
Attendees of the award luncheon shared a meal and networked with other members and nominees from a number of Rotary clubs as well as with four generations of the family of Bill Dugger, who were in attendance in his memory. Following introductory remarks and music by Maggie Smith and Brett Chittenden of Florida State University, Keynote Speaker Valerie Seidel provided a thought-provoking address regarding ethics in business and the value of competition in inspiring excellence, drawing from her experience as President and Principal Economist of The Balmoral Group.
The 2018 award was presented to Tom Derzypolski of BowStern Marketing Communications, recognizing his work in dealing honestly and fairly with clients and staff in his marketing practice. In addition to Tom and Cyndy, the full list of attendees also included Matt Coniglio, a Tallahassee-area financial advisor, Dr. Gabrielle K. Gabrielli, CGMP of Gabrielle Consulting, Dr. Thomas Lawrence, MD, PA, an esteemed ophthalmologist, and John Rivers, owner of 4 Rivers Restaurant. While the nominees come from a variety of professional backgrounds, they all share a commitment to the highest standard of ethics in business and a commitment to the Tallahassee area community.
With a commitment to ethics in business, Cyndy leads ISF in focused pursuit of its four core values: Client Partnership, Growth, Results-Driven, and Responsibility. ISF is also involved in community outreach through its staff in connection with Children’s Home Society, the Early Learning Coalition, Lighthouse Children’s Home, the Rotary Club of Tallahassee, and many other organizations.
