ISF Solution
Cyber Florida’s immediate focus was the development of a series of playbooks to support educators and a broader audience on cyber pathways. To maximize the effectiveness, ISF approached playbook development as a component of Cyber Florida’s broader strategic goals and included the following activities:
- Strategic vision. ISF elicited Cyber Florida leadership priorities to guide the direction for the playbooks and development to Cyber Florida’s ongoing cybersecurity support efforts.
- Stakeholder engagement. ISF conducted focused workshops with K-12 and higher-ed staff, administrators, and faculty to produce an effective and equitable set of guidelines for playbook content and design, with the goal to drive adoption and buy-in for statewide cybersecurity programming efforts.
- Playbook development. The three comprehensive playbooks integrated cyber and educational best practices resulting in relevant and useful playbooks that fit within the Florida cybersecurity landscape.
- Implementation recommendations. Along with the playbooks, ISF delivered tactical implementation resources to avoid barriers in schoolbased cybersecurity and IT pathway programs to successfully start, staff, and sustain a cybersecurity pathways programs.
